Richard Skipper, Arlette Robinson, and I (Ryan Goodman) have been working on crafting a bill for the middle school CTE course enrollment max numbers to be the same as the general education enrollment numbers for those same grades. It will likely be introduced this week. Please reach out to your legislators to gain support for the bill.

Bill HB0662 | May 17, 2023

Important information pertaining to Bill HB0662:
(2) Provide that, if a person holds an active industry license or credential relevant to a career and technical education course as determined by the department of education, then the person may provide instruction to students in the career and technical education course as long as the instruction provided by the person is supervised at all times in the classroom by a licensed teacher who serves as the teacher of record for the course; and

(3) Clarifies that a person providing instruction to students in a career and technical education course pursuant to (2) is subject to investigation pursuant to law relative to investigating applicants for teaching positions
